Til and Tamer founded Sonntagmorgen with the aim to produce high quality coffee using fair produced and traded coffee beans. At the beginning, Til and Tamer did not know much about coffee production, but through many experiments they gained more and more knowledge. For example they tried different manufacturing processes: Instead of normal fermentation, where the pulp is parted mechanically from the coffee bean, they experimented with a much more gentle way to do this production step, which is called the Honey-Preparation. It is supposed to make the coffee taste sweeter and richer.
Those experiments show how the quality and taste is of high importance to the self-proclaiming coffee fans Til and Tamer. But the production process is not the only important component. The first step is to find the right coffee beans, in order to do so the team travels far away to many different countries. By now, they have ten different coffee types from all around the world including Colombia, Kenya, Brazil and many more.
Their vision is not only to offer the best to their customers but also to do their best for their suppliers. From the farmer to the importers, exporters, and coffee roasters, they are concerned about every production step and the people involved in it. This distinguishes Sonntagmorgen from all the other coffee selling companies.
For everybody who got interested, there is a really informative blog by the Sonntagmorgen team, where they share their discoveries and news.
